I don’t get the obsession with people thinking of this bloke signs he’s a back up or someone’s replacement. I’m thinking he may pay with Rice and Soucek if he’s that good. Gives us much more options as well and better quality if one of the three get injured. As for Tammy Abraham, fucking hell he’s shit. I loved his effort in clearing the ball off the line when Soucek scored against them last season.

I think Moyes will prioritise Lingard over a central midfielder, I personally wouldn't

As per the transfer rumours, and as Takashi Miike 8:18 Thu Jun 3 says, if Moyes is leading the transfer activities and Sullivan is no longer messing things up with his agent mates, it may explain why C & H ( aka the old soak Hugh Southon) has got the wrong information from Gold? Gold also resembling a "half cadaver" might also be off base with the supposed priorities for Moyes which are striker, CB and Lingard?
Most of us Armchair "know nothings" and fans generally think we need:
Central midfield cover and rotation - for all teh reasons listed below 1 striker and ideally 2 strikers A left back who is better defending than Cresswell ( speed and physicality ) when we play 4 at the back which is Moyes preferred formation Another, younger goal keeper
The priority of CB makes no sense. We have Ogbonna, Dawson and Diop and the young lad Alves. We also have Alese and Baptiste coming through.
Hugh and his source Gold are talking shite methinks?

I'm 100% with Vexed on my view of Abrahams too. Never seen in him anything that makes me think he's nothing more than a slightly shorter version of Crouch!

45m wouldn't get anywhere near buying Kral and the fucking useless cunt Abraham.

Swindon - they're your priorities surely, not Moyes?

Re: Alex Kral

1st priority is a centre forward. 2nd priority is a centre midfielder. 3rd priority is Jesse Lingard 4th priority is to increase the squad numbers for other positions like Centre Back.
Various reports are conflicting to what we have to spend but let’s say it’s 50 million before any player sales.
Spend 45 million on Tammy Abraham & Alex Kral. That sorts out the 2 main priority positions.
Any money we generate from Anderson, Lanzini & Yarmolenko (Maybe 20 million) use to try and bring Lingard back.
Any money left over and saved wages should go on loans/bosmans for a centre back and a back up forward.

I like the look of this Kral and if we sign him he won't be just cover he will compete with the other two, and they can be rotated and kept fresh
It will also keep all three on their toes, every position needs decent competition if we're to progress.
At the moment those two are never not getting picked without weakening the team.

We have no 1st team strikers, so two will be needed to push on.

Why do we want three strikers, when we play one up top? We also have Bowen who is solid cover.

Surely a striker is the priority. We could probably do with two, Antonio's hammy is getting weaker and weaker.

I think Kral and Lingard are no1 priority
If that means we bring in Arnie on a free then so be it...
32, play Europe and Moyes got the best out of him... Forgive the tantrums as he probably regrets it.
Rice wouldn't have been 'matey' with him if they hasn't have talked it out

Re: Alex Kral

You make a fair argument, they probably are our 3 priority positions and the muted budget of approx 60 mil should cover them positions, then another back up forward like Arnie. But if we are to sign Kral surely it will be before the Euro's. If we are seriously in for him there is no logical reason why this can't happen right now.

Re: Alex Kral

Since we have had a good midfield we have been fantastic. It's been they key focus
When Rice was out we were weaker...
We need 2 solid CM's at all time
Surely we can stump up Lingard, Kral and a forward especially with rumours of Yarma going the other way

Re: Alex Kral

Yes, but the point is do we spend 20 mil on one who may not play too many games. Noble and Lanzini can fill in. I really don't think we are spending circa 20 mil on back up.

We have significantly more games next year due to Europa... Having another CM is non-negotiable

Re: Alex Kral

I understand the need to have quality cover if we really are to progress, but it also depends on how much we have to spend, ie if we have say 60 mil should we be spending 20 on a back up player for Rice/Soucek, 2 players that don't get injured much? I'm not so sure. We probably should have kept Cullen, too.
If Moyes is serious about Kral, I'm pretty sure we will sign him.
